I have a passion/obsession for traveling the world with my family and living life to its fullest as a mommy and wife ALL while maintaining a full-time career. It is A LOT to manage but with a positive outlook, time management skills, and wine…it can be done!
I have been traveling the world for the past 15 years. I am an Army brat so when I was much younger I lived in Mannheim, Germany and I think that is when I began this crazy obsession for traveling. Fast forward 30+ years and I am now traveling at least once a year internationally with a few domestic destinations sprinkled in. I have been to Costa Rica, England, Italy, Egypt, Spain, Netherlands, France, Thailand, Laos, Morocco, and more! I like to consider myself an expert at finding the best deals to Europe and making legit itineraries for all of us to have a good time while abroad.
At the tender age of 30 My husband and I had our precious daughter, Cosette. After her arrival I thought that was it…no more traveling and no more “me” time but I was so very wrong! Being a first time mom was quite a challenge and since we do not live near family my husband and I had to do it all on our own which was quite tough at times. I suffered postpartum depression, which I didn’t even know I had at the time, and was having a very difficult time adjusting to my new life as a mom. After several months of feeling the “blues” my husband practically begged me to book a trip for all 3 of us. I was in shock and said no way it cannot be done but deep down inside I knew I needed it and wanted it so badly that I went ahead and booked our first family trip to Paris! Thank the heavens that our daughter did exceptionally well and is a world traveler just like her mommy that we continue to travel and fulfill both of our passion…my husband is so lucky, LOL!
Through this journey, I’ve learned to not lose sight of my own identity and remember that it is okay to do things for yourself and not feel guilty. I enjoy a good deal on fashion, cooking, wine, shoes and my beautiful daughter! This is my outlet to meet and inspire families to travel and for mommies to share some common interests and ideas with. I hope we can truly connect on a “real” level and have some fun along the way!
