I’m Publishing My First Children’s Book!

Let me start from the beginning. A long time ago, after having my daughter, I realized motherhood was not as easy as I thought it would be. I lived far away from family and after months of being an emotional wreck I realized I was suffering from post-partum depression. I think it happend because I honestly thought I could no longer be myself and had to turn into someone I wasn’t ready for. After about a year of suffering my husband took a step back and realized I needed to get back to my “old self” which required traveling because that has always been my passion. He asked me to book a trip for all 3 of us but I was incredibly reluctant. After many weeks of reassuring and promising me that we would be okay I decided, what the heck let’s do it! It was honestly the best thing I could have done for my family and most of all myself.

After booking our trip to Paris I started researching of what we needed to visit and see with a 1.5 year old. I remember going to several book stores and searching for books to share with her about what she would see and what we could do together and guess what…there was NOTHING out there! I was shocked and surprised that I could not find any book that could help us on our family trip to Paris. I told my husband how frustrated I was and he laughed and said well maybe you should write your own book…I laughed and said well maybe I will! 4 years later here we are and I’ve just finished my first book about that trip to Paris!

Coco’s Adventures will be a series of books based off my daughter’s real life experiences in different countries we visit. Each year brings a new country to her life ( I hope we can pull this off for as lonnnng as possible). My first book is “Coco in Paris,” second book will be “Coco in Rome,” third book “Coco in Madrid and Barcelona,” and her fourth book will be “Coco in Tokyo & Kyoto.” These books are special because all of the illustrations are based on our real life photos, the story is based on facts of what my daughter experienced on these trips and I give you real child friendly locations you can visit when you decide to go! I am super excited to finally share this exciting news with you and hope that it will inspire and help YOU plan your future trips!
