Coco's Adventures, Travel, Motherhood

My 2nd book “Coco’s Adventures, Coco in Rome” is now available!

After several hiccups, delays and set backs my passion of writing about my daughter’s travels is finally here and this time Coco is in Rome!

Coco’s Adventures, Coco in Rome is my second children’s book full of fun and exciting adventures for children to learn what they can experience on their Roman holiday. Coco is taking a journey to the eternal city exploring Ancient Rome like the Romans but through the eyes of a child. She will explore the famous Colosseum, the Pantheon, Vatican City, a Zoo and so much more!

A short interview with writer, mommy and blogger, Vanessa Salomon-Perez:

Why did you start writing about your daughters travels?

Two years ago while book shopping at the Museo Nacional del Prado, in Madrid, Spain, I became frustrated because I could not find a book showing me some fun child spots to take my daughter to. Yes I could search it on google or buy a travel guide but I wanted to find something colorful, quick and to the point in the children’s section. I found nothing and told my husband about it as we left the museum. He laughed at me and said “Well why don’t you just write your own books?” I said “Okay maybe I will!” Challenge accepted and over two years later I have now finished and released my second book!

I hope my books inspire more families to travel together and to give them an easy glance of where and what they can expect while on vacation with children.

Do you hope to get published one day?

I would love to get published one day but until then I will continue to write and self publish my books to share my daughters wonderful adventures abroad. At least I can focus on the content and give an accurate portrayal of my daughters real life experience. All the illustrations in my book are based off of our real life personal pictures I took while on vacation. These books mean the world to me and I hope that one day she appreciates the love I have put on paper.

How many more books are you planning to write?

I hope to write several more books, well as many more adventures as we take! A few more cities I will be writing about in the near future are Barcelona, Cuba and Kyoto. Fortunately, before the pandemic hit, we traveled to these amazing cities and I just hope next year we get to travel abroad safely again.
